Postpartum Doula

As your Postpartum Doula, I am here to not only provide you with evidence based information, but also help nourish you in mind and body.  The word "Doula" originates from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman who serves." It is now used to refer to as someone who provides physical, emotional and evidence based informational support to a birthing person and their family during the labor, birth and postpartum period.

I am here to provide a safe space for you to properly heal and bond with your baby. I will nourish you with nutrient dense foods, help guide you with safe newborn care practices, breastfeeding support and much more.

Those beginning weeks after birth are crucial for not only baby but also the birthing person. Research shows having the proper support in place postpartum leads to better outcomes for baby and birthing person.

As new parents there will be many questions and thoughts that arise when you return home. I will be there to answer those questions and ease any worries you may have.

"Help identifying hunger cues"

“Is my baby hungry or just wants to soothe?”
“How do I correctly swaddle baby?”

or "My baby doesn't like the swaddle"
"Help you identify why baby is crying."

"Is this normal?"

I will not only be there to help ease worries and answer questions, but also hold space for you during this time in your journey.
